THE HOURGLASS CHALLENGE

The Hourglass returns to the Royal Cornwall Events Centre for a unique endurance challenge that rewards pacing, determination and mental resilience as much as outright speed. Unlike a traditional race, competitors take on a series of timed laps with the available time reducing as the event progresses. Complete each lap within the allotted time and you move on to the next round. Miss the cut-off, and your race is over.

Starting with a generous time allowance, the challenge gradually becomes tougher as the clock ticks down, testing runners’ ability to manage their effort and adapt as fatigue sets in. The format creates an exciting atmosphere throughout the day, with participants pushing their limits while spectators watch the field slowly narrow until only the strongest runners remain.

Suitable for experienced runners looking for a new challenge as well as those wanting to test their endurance in a supportive environment, The Hourglass is as much a battle of strategy as it is physical fitness. Every lap brings a new challenge, and every minute counts.
